Fifty hours and 147 grams — and a spec table that gets the driver and the charge time wrong.

Six axes, the same rule for every model. This is our judgment, not the manufacturer's.

The WH-CH520 is the sensible headphone on this page: 147 g, fifty hours, multipoint, Sony's app, and no attempt to sell you cancelling it does not have.
Two rows of its spec table are wrong. It says the driver is 12 mm — Sony publishes 30 mm, and 12 mm is an in-ear driver, not something you fit in an on-ear cup. And it gives the charge time as 50 hours, which is the battery figure pasted into the wrong row. We leave the driver box empty rather than pick one of the two numbers.
The thing to weigh against the Soundcore above: this has no cancelling at all and no 3.5 mm jack, so when the battery dies it is a paperweight. What it has is a hundred grams less on your head.
Anything marked «—» is a figure the manufacturer doesn't publish. We don't fill those in by eye.

| The 12 mm driver | Amazon's table says «Audio Driver Size: 12 millimeters». Sony publishes 30 mm for this model. Twelve millimetres is an in-ear driver, not an on-ear one, so we leave the box empty rather than print either number as fact. |
|---|---|
| «Battery Charge Time: 50 hours» | The same table gives the charge time as 50 hours, which is the battery life copied into the wrong row. |
| No cancelling | «Noise Control: None». This is the model without ANC; the 50 hours is a figure with nothing to spend power on. |
| No jack | «Headphone Jack: No Jack». With the battery flat these stop working. |
A summary of the reviews published on Amazon.com as of 2026-09-08.
4.4 out of 5 from 35,033 ratings. Weight and battery are what buyers mention first, and the swivel cups get named often by people who wear them around their neck. The recurring complaint is clamping pressure on larger heads, and a steady trickle of buyers who assumed a Sony headband model would cancel noise and found out it does not.
