Six axes, the same rule for every model. This is our judgment, not the manufacturer's.

The best-selling on-ear headphone on Amazon costs $9.99, has a cable, and carries 100,823 ratings at 4.5 — more than every other product on this page combined. That is worth sitting with before reading any of the wireless models above.
Its spec table is also the funniest on this page. «Control Method: App», for a headphone with no battery and no electronics. A weight of 258 g, which is the same number Amazon gives for the Soundcore Q20i and roughly double what Sony publishes. A frequency response of «20000 hertz», where the bullet on the same page says 12 Hz to 22 kHz.
None of that makes it a bad buy — at ten dollars it is arguably the best value here, and the ranking says a hundred thousand people agree. It makes it a perfect illustration of how little you can trust a spec table, including on a listing from Sony.
Anything marked «—» is a figure the manufacturer doesn't publish. We don't fill those in by eye.

| No battery, on purpose | It is a wired headphone. There is nothing to charge and nothing to run out, which is why every battery row here is empty rather than zero. |
|---|---|
| Driver | The bullet gives 1.38 in, which is 35 mm. The spec table does not list a driver size at all. |
| Frequency response, twice | The bullet says 12 Hz to 22 kHz. The spec table says «20000 hertz» and nothing else. |
| «Control Method: App» | Amazon's table says these are controlled by an app. They are a $9.99 wired headphone with no electronics, no battery and no app. Somebody filled in a template. |
| Weight | Amazon lists 9.12 oz (258 g), the same figure it lists for the Soundcore Q20i, a much larger headphone. Sony's own figure is about half that. We leave the box empty rather than publish a number we don't trust. |

A summary of the reviews published on Amazon.com as of 2026-09-08.
4.5 out of 5 from 100,823 ratings, accumulated over more than a decade on sale. What buyers repeat is that they sound better than ten dollars should, and the recurring failure is the cable at the jack after a year or two of being wound around a laptop. For the price, most reviewers say they simply bought another pair.

The last adult model in Amazon's on-ear ranking before it turns into children's school headphones.
Fifty hours and 147 grams — and a spec table that gets the driver and the charge time wrong.
